I'm so sorry this is happening!!!!

2 things:

I have SCAD (Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection), and EKGs have been normal every time I had an incident. The only way to know is to check troponin levels. I've had 2 different dissections that caused 5 MIs. But not all SCADs cause heart attacks, because it can attack any artery, including in the brain.

Also, I would demand an MRI & CT scan of his brain. Don't wait for a neurology appointment.

Thank you for sharing this! Just checked his labwork from the hospital and looks like his troponin levels were normal. He did have a CT scan of his brain, but I will definitely push for an MRI.

I can’t even begin to tell you how reading your post makes me feel. You have been so supportive of everything going on in our city and now you’re the one needing all the support. I’m so sorry to hear about this situation with your husband, and all the chaos this creates for your move and your family. Know that I am thinking about you and sending as many positive thoughts your way as I can. I hope you find out some good news soon.

I’m so sorry that you are dealing with all of this. It sounds so scary and overwhelming. Thank goodness this happened before you moved. I hope that you get answers soon. They should check for Dysautonomia. Symptoms sound similar to my friends.

Was just reading about this, and a lot of the conditions it encompasses seem to line up with his symptoms!

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this but super glad it’s happening here where you have so many more medical resources!! I hope you get answers soon.

Check for Dysautonomia. Cardiology needs to refer to Electrophysiology.

Definitely on our list!

P. S. Broken ribs, 2 broken ankles, torn ankle ligaments, broken C5-7, all from falls. I know it is scary.

Hope they have a EP lab close to you.

Honestly, it helps me process (I know you get it!!), as well as keep track of episodes. Trying to give doctors as much detailed info as possible!

Wow. Prayers that the medical team finds the cause and that it is manageable.

So sorry this is happening.

My husband went through something very similar. He has a pacemaker now and is healthy as ever. When he was passing out, i thought i he was having seizures, his heart was stopping. His body automatically corrected it and started it back again. The doctor who finally figured it out explained it as his heart is perfect, but his software would mess up 1% of the time and it caused him to faint.

Cardioinhibitory neuorcardiogenic syncope is what he has. It is worth a shot to ask.

Good luck and praying for answers.

Oh, Emily! I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. What utter chaos you’re living with! Most of the people commenting here have much better medical experiences to draw on, so I sense that you’re in good hands. Besides you, my heart goes out to your children. They’ve got to be bewildered. Much love and light to all of you. ❤️❤️❤️

Has he ever had a head injury? Sounds like my son’s nocturnal seizures following a TBI.

I don't believe so, but seizures are one of the things I want to look into first.
